iOS 13.2 Update Brings These Cool Features in iPhone & iPad

It is no surprise that Apple is coming up with lots of updates back-to-back in recent time. Firstly they came up with iOS 13.1 and just when everyone expected that we are about to see iOS 13.2. Instead, from nowhere we got iOS 13.1.2 followed by another update iOS 1.1.3.

Finally, iOS 13.2 has been rolled out by Apple as the most recent and important update with lots of features accompanying it. iOS app development companies around the world are quite happy as they see the opportunity to create apps which enhances overall user experience. Are you excited to know some of the cool features added in the recent update? Let’s get going then.

  • Battery Charging Process is Optimized
It has been a great challenge for the iPhone developers is to retain their battery efficiency. Over-charging is the main reason for more damaged batteries. The recent update iOS 13.2 comes up with a simple solution for this problem.

For this you simply need to visit “Settings” —> “Battery” —> “Battery Health” and turn the Optimized Battery charging feature on. This feature allows your phone to reach the max level of 80% overnight while 20% charging is initiated when your alarm goes off in the morning. By introducing this feature Apple has shown its creativity.

  • Files app allows Scanning documents
After the 13.2 updates we have seen some major changes and it’s good to know that the Files app has been updated as well. Guess what? With this Files app not only allows you to scan the documents but at the same time allows you to save it to cloud storage and device also. In addition to that, you can scan multiple documents into a single PDF afterwards save it and import them to other apps as well. Here’s how to do that:

  1. Open the file app
  2. Go to the “Browse” tab and click on the 3-dotted icon on the top right corner
  3. Simply scan the documents placing your iPhone/iPad over the document and everything else will be done by the app itself.

Simple, right?

  • Revamped Voice Search
Now, Siri has quite a lot of work to do after the latest iOS update has rolled out. Post update, you can see a microphone at the right corner of every search bar. Simple, speak your query and get it resolved within seconds. This feature is available in apps like Mail, Messages, Settings, & Today View.

  • Eliminates apps size restrictions from Cellular Data
Previously there was a restriction for the iOS users in downloading any application that exceeds the Cellular Data limit. After the update, you are allowed to download apps which are of gigabytes-sized.

How to enable this feature?
  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Further, go to “iTunes & App Store” followed by “App Downloads” option in order to turn the limitation OFF.
  • Longer Screenshots (Yay!)
Finally, iOS has rolled out the longer screenshot feature with the recent updates. We all were hoping when it gets introduces. Now no split screenshots!

For this, you need to open the Safari app and select “Full Page” option. This will convert your screenshot and convert it to PDF and allows editing afterwards. Apart from Safari, this feature can be used in apps Pages, Keynote, Number, Apple Maps, and Mail.

  • iMessage and Facetime support Dual-SIM now
After lots of feedback and requests on public domain by iPhone users, Apple rolled out the Dual-SIM functionality in iPhone XS & XS Max. Still, the problem didn’t seem to go away as only one sim card could be used on the iMessage & Facetime app. This was opposed by most users, as a result, in the recent update, this has been fixed.

  • Updated Volume Indicator
Previously when you are to turn up or down the volume, you use to see a speaker icon in the middle of the screen which used to ruin the iPhone user experience. This time, Apple has actually looked into it and has resolved this issue by placing volume adjuster to appear on the top left corner of the device which appears to be a thin line which gradually adjusts the volume.

  • Safari gets New Scroll Bar
Safari gets a new scroll bar which makes easier for the users to scroll through the web pages. This scroll bar is placed on the right side.

You can use it to scroll faster by long-pressing on it and drag it up or down, however you want to scroll.

In addition to these features, iOS 13.2 has brought these as well:

  •  Search option in iMessage
  •  Location optional in Photos sharing
  •  Deleting apps directly from the update screen
  • Mouse support to control the iPhone or iPad
  • Safari Download Manager
As an iPhone/iPad user seeing these long list of features surely makes you happy as a result the update seems to grab everyone’s attention and is becoming a huge hit. iOS app developers around the world sight this update as a great chance to improve the user experience through the development of some magnificent iOS apps.
